According to the Wall Street Journal, there are now more than 600 million websites.  Compare that to when Al Gore “introduced” us to the “internet highway” when there were less than 500.  How many times has it increased since then?!

Unless traffic is driven to your site and your website gets some name recognition (or recognized by the search engines), your website might as well not exist.  There is so much competition out there now, there are actions you must take to get attention.

Pick out key words that reflect who and what you are.  Make sure that you can find them on your site.  If not, then surely the search engines won’t.

Sending emails to your prospects is not sufficient to drive traffic.  Make sure that your subject lines in your emails are compelling.  If it does not pique curiosity or desire, the only click to you will be the delete button.
