Rumors abounded regarding the House passage of the Health Bill whereby votes in favor of the bill were made by legislators who did not actually read the bill or at least read the bill in its entirety.

While it is recognized that the healthcare issue needs to be revamped, one hopes that we are not having an inferior system adopted for the sake of making good on political promises. The President called on senators to “seize this historic opportunity” which then complies with the Democratic 2008 campaign promises. While appearing on CNN’s “State of the Nation”, Senator Dianne Feinstein, a Democrat from California stated “If we don’t deliver, we’ve got a problem.”

“The only way they can get to 60 is with all of this deal making,” said Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R., Ky.).

It is the deal-making and the compromises to overlook certain key issues that we should all be worried about!
