The following article was written by Rick Moran about health insurance hikes.  It reveals the tip of the iceberg for all the problems with healthcare coverage yet to come.

CT Health Insurance Hikes Up To 47%  October 16, 2010

You will be able to keep the insurance you already have – as long as you auction off your first born:

The state’s largest insurer has been approved to raise health premium rates by 41 percent to 47 percent for some of its policies sold to individual buyers, in the largest price hikes yet seen in Connecticut since the adoption of national health care reform.
For all of its individual market plans, Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield has received approval to raise rates by at least 19 percent — including a range of 30 percent to 44 percent for the brand of plans in the individual market that was most popular in 2009, Century Preferred.

The reason for the increases is the new federal health reform mandates, according to Anthem and the state Department of Insurance, which is defending its approval against charges by Attorney General Richard Blumenthal. Those reforms took effect Sept. 23.

“The reason for the increases is the new federal health reform mandates…”B-b-b-b-but President said our insurance costs would go down if we passed his reform bill.

Obama said a lot of things to get the bill passed. Anyone who believed this charlatan when he said Republicans were lying about the effects of this bill deserves whatever they get from Obamacare. And now the only thing standing between us and this titanic boondoggle is probably the Supreme Court – a prospect that does not fill one with confidence.

And a bare majority want this mess repealed.

A large consideration to health reform was to cover the 47 million that were without insurance.

Ironically before this shakes out with the hugh hikes, it is inevitable that everyone will be uninsured and the system will collapse.  While our current insurance plan may have been dying, it seems that President Obama has pulled the breathing and feeding tube out from the patient, and said… Let’s watch and see!
